BV9600 Pro Compass inaccurate

Tue Dec 22, 2020 7:52 am

Hi, my brand new BV9600 Pro has significant compass issues.  I have completed many of the "calibration" strategies on the internet, as well as downloaded an app to read the output of the sensors.  The calibration has no improvement. The sensor output has output from all axis and appears to be working correctly, though I don't know what the readings should be.  In essence though, when I point the compass to the north, it is not reading north.  It is around 60 degrees out - sometimes more.  It is one of the new P70 models.  Can anyone provide any information?  Is there a firmware update needed perhaps?

Thanks!

Hello, which version do you have now? To calibration the compass via drawing the number "8"

Yep, mine (a p60 version) had always been like that. I never bothered asking for a fix because there are so many bigger issues that Blackview fail to address. No autostart for apps, no background running apps, no usb connection options, totally insane glass back on a "Rugged" phone, bulging battery... Bla bla bla. Maps and nav work fine so just lear to hold your phone askew!
