since Blackview has no intention of upgrading the BV9500 Pro to Anroid 9 or at least security updates, I was wondering if someone tried installing a custom rom.
I've found this article, but I'm afraid of compatibility issues:

Yes i tried most of the gsi arm 64 roms out there and most of them worked out just fine even android 10 ones. The only issues for me was couldn't root with magisk and proximity sensor which I fixed with xprivacy lua but i rolled back to the stock rom but I'll update it to Android 10 as soon as magisk starts working . I created android pie 9 havoc os with scatter and everything. I can upload somewhere if others request it too.

Doesn't mater anymore - sold this one and bought another phone.
