Is it the main camera failure?

I found that when I'm using Open Camera I can only shot 640x480 B&W photos using the back camera. There is no such filter enabled and when I switch to the front camera I can shot color images.
When I'm using built-in camera application I cannot use the back camera at all, only front camera is working.
Does it mean my main back camera has died?
