Question about secondary back-camera

Hello,

the back cameras are as following: 16 MP + 0.3 MP.
But... does this secondary camera (0,3 MP) have any real use?

I heard that it's for a bokeh effect, but when I lay a finger on this sensor, it doesn't make any real difference,
so I assume the secondary camera is either not working as intended - or just fake.

Could you please confirm what's the matter?
Thanks!

There is an engineering test mode that will display what the smaller, lower-resolution camera "sees". It is a real device, an imaging sensor, but its product is more for the software to interpolate things like light level, balance, areas of contrast and edge detection. It's an aid to the better camera.
