Phone hangs

Hi.
My phone is hanging in a strange mode...i can not press any key (hard- or softkey), the display is dark, sometimes a (very) little brighter for a short time and sometimes the right side of the display is bright and dimms to dark.
No way to shut down or access the boot menue. I can not make screens to show this....
What can i do?
(phone did nof fall down or anything like this, but this should bw no problem for this device)
