BV9500, proximity sensor stay on 0. can't have calls : screen always black.

Hello everyone.

I'm having an issue with my one year old bv9500, who worked just fine until now.

The story began when i broke the screen. I ordered a replacement one and changed my screen.
I had no difficulty doing it.
The new screen works just fine. The front camera, the light sensor, all other sensor are okay........expect one, the proximity sensor.
With an app testing the sensor, the proximity remains on 0, the result is that I cant have calls, the screen remains black as the phone thinks it is close to something/my hear. Which is totally disabling.
I tried again and again, the light/proximity sensor are put in the original way. I have to underline that the light sensor works perfectly.
The screen's glass let the light go through, the cap convering the sensor chip seems to be ok.

Does anyone have a clue?

I'll send photos later in the afternoon, do not hesitate, ask for what you need.

Guillaume

Hi there!
In this thread you'll find how to check and calibrate the proximity sensor:

I would bet good money that you forgot to swap the rubber focusing boot for the prox sensor from the old screen to the new one...meaning you will not be able to calibrate....it will still be embedded in the old screen if you still have it.

Hello,

thanks a lot it works!

I entered the test menu with *#87# , for the pro version seems to be *#*#33#*#* ( I found everything here : http://bbs.blackview.hk/viewtopic.php?f=242&start=10&t=463082&sid=ba30aa8e9858d9b103f209aabbe4141c)
There, i could calibrate the proximity sensor and it finally worked.

SOLVED
