[TRACKED] BV9500 lock screen clock no longer showing seconds

Tue Apr 16, 2019 2:36 am

Hello,
I just recently updated to software version BV_BV9500_V1.0_20190320, and with that update, the clock no longer displays seconds on my lock screen like it did before. Is there anyway I can reenable this functionality? I relied on it heavily for work. If not, can the option be added back in another update? Thanks.

Hi there! Did you perform a factory reset after the updated, as Blackview always recommend?

No I have not tried doing that, but I'd like to not deal with backing everything up just to do a factory reset. I'm curious to know whether or not the clock settings were messed with with the last system update. Can you confirm this? Thanks.

Can any other user confirm that? I find it quite weird, honestly.

If no one else has this issue, I'll go ahead and to a factory reset and see if that fixes anything. Hopefully it does cause I really liked having the seconds displayed on the lock screen.

I do not have the latest update 2019-03-20, but my lock screen clock never showed seconds that I know of.

I looked, I don't even have the option for that *on the lock screen clock*.

If you're willing, you could install a third party cock like Night Clock and set it as your screen saver. It's a workaround that shouldn't be needed but sometimes third party spa are just better for some things, unfortunately.

But no, if you had that option before, I don't think an update should remove it (but I'd like to know how to get that as a built-in option, myself, because that would come in handy for me, too, to have that on the lock screen).

Interesting, mine by default had it upon first boot. Found it a little odd, but now that it's gone, I really miss it. This has been a great phone, other than the camera focus issues and now this. It's not game breaking, but I do hope that there is an option added to the lock screen to add seconds. I'll be doing a factory reset this weekend, and report my findings at that point.

Hello. According to my personal experience, my BV9500 pro never showed the seconds on the locked screen clock.

I am having the same issue with the most recent update for the bv9500 as the clock on the lock screen used to display seconds but this feature is no longer available following the most recent update.

Ok, I collected enough feedbacks.
Issue is now tracked, a fix will come together with future updates.
