Hi there!
I highly suggest you to install the Opencamera App, definitely better than the stock one.
In the Opencamera app you'll find the entry for the shutter sound under settings ;)

I agree, but:
wouldn't be better to consider the option to REPLACE the stock app with a better one? Stock App has ridicoulous focus problems... lol :)

I content that ANDROID has a focus problem.  I have yet to find any Android phone that focuses reliably and consistently without using manual focus and the one device I have used with Camera2 API doesn't even focus to infinity properly when manually focused to that point.
On one device I tried like four or five different camera apps, all performed identically with focusing, indicating it's done in hardware or at the OS/Driver level.  But I could be wrong, I'm no dev. ;)

In Opencamera app go to settings (click on the wheel) -> more camera controls. You'll fine the shutter sound entry here.

On the BV9500 nonPro, when i open the Camera stock app, i click on the settings whell (left side of the flash) and on the last option i have the option
"Capture Sound". Disabling it removes the shutter sound.
Can you check if the Pro also has it? They should be similar.

Best regards

Mine has the option to turn off the shutter sound & it is the Pro model. I have the latest update to both the app & the system.

I'd like the option to silence the chirp when tapping the screen to focus as well.

I didn't realize that got updated. I just realized I've got to go disable all the crApps I'll never use... Again...

Wait....

WHY CAN I NOT DISABLE CAMERA?
