Hello, 
After searching through this forum I did not find any solution or people having the same issue. 
When I try to open my camera app and to connect to the front camera it just stops working, similarly, other apps freeze or close. 
It does not seem to be due to several apps using it at the same time and I've seen that people have had similar problems in the past with other models, any tips on how to manage this problem?

Hi there, the first thing to try is to perform a factory reset (total wipe) of phone. This will rule out if this is a software or hardware related issue. Please report back

It looks like an hardware fault, unfortunately. You'll have to contact your seller to have it repaired/replaced under warranty.

it's too much of a hassle though, I'll probably open it myself, any advice if I want to try to repair it manually?

Opening will void warranty, remember that.

Yes thank you, hopefully, someone just forgot to plug it! 
and I did not plan on using the guarantee as it would take months since I ordered from an Asian company and I am living in Europe!
