Nope
Not charging again
No reasonable explanation
Same charger
Same wall
It worked
Now doesn't

Alright, I have this problem too and tried the following:
- Different AC Adapter
- Different Cable
- Factory Reset
- Closed all apps - wifi
- Device powered off during charging

I still get between 600 and 1000 mAh (1A)
I'm stuck

That's why tech team has to release a software fix for that ;)

Hi guys,

I have the BV9500 (Not Pro, but there's no forum for that one).  Order id: #20180716080047-5b4cf96fc1533

I'm also struggling with charging.

The first weeks when the phone was new the battery lasted 3-5 days between charges, and charging the phone using the Wireless charger took 6-8 hours.

Now the phone shuts itself off when reaching around 65-60%, and it is impossible to turn it on before 24-30 hours after leaving it connected to the charger.

Tried several differen chargers, the included charger + cable, the wireless charger + cable, BV9000 Pro charger and cable, BV8000 Pro charger and cable, and the BV6000 charger with no-name aliexpress cable.  Same result with all units.

BV9000 Pro and BV6000 charges fast with all above chargers when using cable that fit the phone.

Most of these issues came after the update that came in late-November.

Can you guys relate to the above mentioned symptoms?

Other then the charging issues, the 9500 was the best phone I've owned. Very good camera, fast and despite its size a very capable and useful device for everyday use.

TL;DR - BV9500 not charging or charging very slowly, tested with many chargers and cables.

So it is a software related problem?
Unfortunately, I didn't test the charging speed before the november update, so I cannot confirm...

Is that a confirmation that it's software related?
If so, I'm happy the hardware is okay at least

I am the owner of three of your company's products. BV8000pro BV9000pro and BV9500pro.....
The problems in all three phones are unacceptable. Shame a lot of pity for you !!! Your service is disassembled and unfortunately no help is given to the people who supported you. But it seems you are not very interested in this. You lost another client....
You're just......TRAGIC !!!!!

Hi,
After leaving my BV9500 (Non Pro) on the charger for 4 (yes, FOUR!) days it finally came back to life.  Tried pressing the power button several times a day for the last days, but the red light flicked off for a very short while before coming back on.
When the phone powered on the state of charge was 64%.
When I picked up the phone there was a peculiar smell coming from it.  I have smelled something similar when one of my rc-airplanes crashed and the Li-Po battery were crushed and the electrolyte inside came out.
I opened the sim/tf-card cover on the back, and the smell became very strong.  Best way to describe it is super-glue smell mixed with the smell of hot honey.  The fumes gives a slight dizziness.

To BlackView:  Is there a way to diagnose whats wrong with our phones?
No reply from the sales emails, so I hope someone in Blackview reads the forum.
I need to ship this phone back to Blackview for Warranty repair or replacement.

Something really bad happened to your battery/internal charging module. You'll need to have your device replaced under warranty. If you bought it from Directly from the Blackview store, feel free to contact kelly@blackview.hk

I did a test with the included charger and tried fast charging my girlfriend's Samsung Galaxy S7, which should be possible with 2A ...
But nope, also "normal" charging with 0,9A.

I wrote to the seller and they will send me a new charger.
Will report back if it has been solved.

@blackview_admin: if it's really software related, then we'd be glad if you had any news from the tech team :)

As said before, apart from that, the phone is awesome - such a shame it doesn't quick charge  :(  :(

Kind regards,
dee~
