Additionally, I'd like to mention that I bought a couple of scratch protectors for the camera glass. They are made for the Mi A2, but they will fit on the BV9500 camera glass. Of course the whole camera glass isn't covered but they'll do the trick (since there are no camera glass protectors made exclusively for the BV9500). I'm attaching a screenshot of what I bought from AliExpress.

I just replaced mine over the weekend and mine included a foam rubber adhesive pad. If yours didn't you might want to go back and double check the item listing wherever you bought it to see if it was supposed to include it. It will be necessary. Perhaps you can find a generic adhesive foam pad somewhere and cut your own, but that'll be a big PITA.

Mine came direct from BV, as a warranty replacement item. I also had to replace my speaker. I recorded it all on video but you probably won't want to watch -- there are five in a series of about an hour and a half total length. I think the fourth one was the one where I showed the actual pad being installed followed by the glass...

Hope it helps.

The one I ordered came without the glue strips. Need to source my own. Any chance you mesured the strips?

I'm sorry, I did not measure them. I don't think so, anyway.

My memory sucks right now. I'll have to go back to the video I made to see for certain, but I do seem to recall the "strips" being a full width and height foam backing to match the lens cover glass minus holes for the lenses and LED. I forget. I'll try to remember to check.

It's possible a liquid adhesive could work just as well if you're sparing enough with the use of it, someone like plastic model cement, rubber cement, maybe even PVC glue. I'm sure there's something commercially available.

I will watch the videos you made.

May have found a few options on eBay.

Will make a dedicated video on the glass repair once I get everything.

Not sure you want to watch my hour long presentation. Feel free to make a Cliff's Notes version ;)

Shows the backing foam.  They're full-size matches to the camera glass, not strips.

Oh yeah... that's not at all what I saw in some other listings.

It appears as if when you buy the whole back cover, it comes with the adhesive on it. You can see in the listing below the white cover tape.

Yes, it would appear so, +1

But if you haven't purchased yet (I don't recall if you said), I would verify with the seller.

Yeah, I already asked them. Going to see if they will sell me the part for a discount since the glass wasn't sent with the adhesive like it should have been from the get go.
