Re: New update doesn't work

20190417 update successful, BV_BV9500 Pro V1.0_20190320_20190320-1730 in French,

For blackview_admin
My router is blocking the Blackview BV6000, BV9000Pro and BV9500Pro OTA Wi-Fi update.
Can you ask the developers the update link (http), in order to put it in my whitelist, to allow the updates.
Thank you

In my case, it helped change the system language on your smartphone to English and the update was successful.

Your router blocks it, and you can tell that this is the case, but it doesn't tell you the address to which the connection is being blocked, for instance if you're logged into the router's administration interface?

In fact there is a site blocker on my OpenWrt router (open source). The router does not display the link that is blocked.

BV9500Pro error message:
"No network available (Unable to resolve host" fota server ". No address associated with hostname) or "fota5.xxx.com/"

So, to have the OTA update, I have to disable the site blocker. I do not ask blackview_admin for a download link such as "megadown" for a local update. Even if the update is done by the Wi-Fi (OTA), there is initially a blackview link "http" of the server, which the developers use for the update OTA. With this address, I will be able to update the whitelist in my router.

Guys, please follow these steps, as it may be a working solution.

1) Remove SIM and MicroSD.

2) Fully load your phone's battery (100%), AND keep it connected to the charger.

3) Perform a factory reset from the recovery menu:
http://bbs.blackview.hk/viewtopic.php?f=192&t=334922

4) After factory reset, DON'T load any previous phone backup, just have it new from scratch. DON'T install any additional app, keep it standard.

5) Reboot the phone, connect to a wifi network, check for updates and install the update.

Hi Admin,
I have  problem installing the vesion: BV_BV9500_V1.0_20190320_20190320-1435

Now I have the  BV_BV9500_V1.0_20181026_20181119-1437

After I have installed this version of firmware, same times, the phone restart, and same time in the midlle of a call phone.
It appen minimum one time everyday

Via OTA, I can download the new ROM, but it give mi an error:
Package Error. Check and download again.

I have tried many times, but I have the same error, via Wireless or via SIM in 4G.

I can reset the phone again, I have a lot of data in the phone , and not have new phone to use to try backup data.

Reads more like a DNS issue than a router-is-blocking-it issue.  Is it really xxx.com?  I can see that particular domain being blocked by other apps, certain ISPs, but I assume you just shortened the actual URL to xxx.com to avoid having to type it.  I can't say as I blame you...  virtual keyboards suck.
Seems to me you have the knowledge that anything I say you'd already know.  Wish I could be more help.
