Today I have tried the OTA update again and successfully run. Battery 50%, SIM and SD card included.

Before: BV_BV9500_V1.0_20181026
After: BV_BV9500_V1.0_20190320_20190320-1435

BV9500 non PRO

Update's there again, and worked this time for me.

So I got the update. I tried to install, but got 25% like the others in this forum. So I plugged it in as soon as I seen the progress bar get around 25% I then left it that way while I took a shower. When I came back it had successfully installed. So maybe make sure you are plugged in and just let it sit.... IDK. It worked for me.... Good luck

The new OTA upadate is successful installed on BV9500 (not PRO) phone, NO problem. Factory reset not needed.

It just worked here as well after I tried for a couple of day. 

I went to airplane mode after the update was downloaded. No hard reset and the micro SDCard remained in the phone. 

Update now working
