android auto issues

Sat Jan 12, 2019 4:20 pm

Hi all, I have a BV9500, I saw no forum for that model, anyway I update android to version 8.1.0 and now if I use android auto I received no notifications, I can not use spotify and even I granted permisions to android auto to keep the mobile active after a time it goes inactive then I can not see the screen anymore. I also was using a smartphone samsung gear fit 2 and even though it is connected I receive no notifications. I have to say that before the update everything was running perfect

After each update is highly reccommended to perform a factory reset to avoid weird issue like this. Please perform a factory reset from the recovery menu ( viewtopic.php?f=192&t=334922 ) and check again.

Pay also attention to that:

Long press Menu to enter RAM memory cleaning, you can manually click "X" to clean up, or you can click to enter the whitelist to set up applications that are not to be cleaned up. For example, third-party downloaded Facebook, WhatsAPP and other applications can be added to the whitelist to avoid being cleaned up and being not able to receive timely information; automatically clean up background applications that have not been added to the whitelist when the screen is turned off, reducing the use of memory and traffic;

Hi, I recommend you before a restore:
1. Uninstall Android Auto and reinstall. You follow the basic configuration proposed by Google.
2. You make sure the app has permissions for notifications. It also activates USB debugging in the Android developer options.

Unfortunately, that's not specific to the BV500 (but I have tried long pressing all those buttons already-with no joy)
The user manual: https://fccid.io/2APMJBV9500/User-Manua ... al-3996038 is of no help as, whilst it mentions the Menu button,  it doesn't show a picture of it!
