Ok, I have no burning issues, the wireless charger works just fine, but almost a month for an OTA update that others already have gotten? I've heard of staggered updates; I've implemented them myself, but I can't help but feel this is a tad ridiculous.

My experience with Blackview is good, I know the update will come, but this is definitely an idiosyncrasy one has to live with when using BV products.

Try to factory reset your phone and check for updates again, it may speed up that.

Pass update for the bv9500 pro, but not for the bv9500. Unfortunately I too can not wait for an update. Quick Blackview!

I've done the factory restore 3 times and even then the phone has a problem unpacking the update 20181026.
I see that Blackview is not showing any concern in resolving the problems of the phones of its brand, proof of this is the timing of even posts answered here on the site.

Try to perform a factory reset also from the recovery menu, as it sometimes solved many issues like yours.

Another thing: be sure to remove SD cards from your phone before performing an OTA update. An alternative is to check if your SD card is installed and formatted as "portable storage", that's because if set to "internal storage" weird issues like yours may happen.

Report back if this helps.

I've done all of that and problem still the same. Phone never dose OTA updates.

This phone has been out for months now, and has a lot of problems. I'm doubting that why on earth the company hasn't release offline firmware fix yet.
Not to mention that phone's compass still doesn't works as it should be.

Kinda upset with the quality of services.

The removal of the memory card was the solution, the update worked on the BV9500

Does NOT work on my BV9500 Pro . I had performed many hard (factory) resets and formattings of /data and /cache partitions through both settings menu and the recovery.  Without any SD-card inserted. Still nothing. =(

Unfortunately you'll have to wait for the firmware update files to be released for flashing, wich should come in a near future.
By the way, if your phone works without issues for what you need, don't obsess yourself with updates ;) updates are not mandatory!
