Flashing stock ROM

Thu Nov 08, 2018 8:32 pm

I am in desperate need of help with trying to flash stock ROM onto my phone after it went dark.

It all started when my phone froze while watching youtube and I pressed the power button once, short press, not long for restart. The screen went black and stayed black after that.
Now I can press the power button for as long as I like without anything happening.
After emailing with Blackview and asking to return the phone for service Kelly gave me a download link for the stock firmware for the phone and told me to flash that and all should be good after that.
With no other information than the download link I had to start and search for how I would go about flashing the firmware and found a few tutorials.
But now after trying many times and with a few different versions of sp flash tool and also different firmwares I have yet to succeed.
Every time I try, I get it to do the initial download but after that nothing happens and after 2 minutes I get and error message. status_protocol_err (0x0010005)
It gives me a few hints like trying different com ports, other cable, another pc etc.
Nothing I do helps, always the same message.

Kelly gave me an email address for another person that might be able to help me but I got the feeling that he doesn't work for Blackview. It doesn't matter if he doesn't but I find it a bit odd that she refers me to someone else like that.
So now I'm waiting for this other guy to try and flash his phone and see if there is some step I'm missing or doing wrong, he "only" has the 9500 version but it should be the same procedure.

I have tried with compatibility mode and running as administrator but it does nothing.

Does anyone else have a suggestion to what I can try? Since the screen is always black I can't go into any settings on the phone.

Great tutorial as all the others I have read.
Problem is the old download link for checksum generator that doesn't work, and none of the ones I have found seem to work in giving me a checksum.ini file.

So until I find a checksum generator that actually works for me I have to resolve to buying different cables and keep trying with the SP flash tool, got told that it might be an issue with the power coming from the usb ports and that is why I get the error message.

I hope that some day I will get the phone working again.

One step forward and another one back.

The download link worked, thank you for that, I didn't pay enough attention reading.
Now the program doesn't complain about the checksum file. But instead I get a fail message after it does the checksum routine.
The message is as follows:
Warning: Maybe error as follows:
(1) COM ports number repetitive or invalid
(2)Brom and preloader have the same comport number!
Please modify them in INI file or scan again.

Can't find what to modify in the INI file to make it work.
No matter if I change the usb port in which the phone is connected, it still gives the same message.

Can't I just return my phone and get a new one or get mine fixed? I'm becoming real tired of trying out all kinds of different solutions which takes me no closer to get a working phone.
