My Xiaomi mi 9 se and armoured case have been dispatched. So sick of my blackview with its god awful connectivity. Bluetooth works about half the time and I have to reset my phone eveytime I connect to a WiFi network or it thinks it's connected but just wipes out my data. Goodbye forever blackview, your focus on throwing out new phones constantly and not looking after existing customers is about as clever as trying to make a profit on selling a projector phone! I'm too embarrassed to even try to sell this phone because it's so bad. I recommend you drastically change your priorities. Cheerio.

and please remember to perform a factory reset after each update to avoid weird issues.
I have updated to android 8 trought "Local update" and since that time there is a lot of bug. Can I expect a notification for that new OTA update or do I need update to the russian rom before ?
ThanksĀ
based on what we've 'received' the last year, my guess is there won't be an update anymore and the best support you can get is from the russians, because 'downgrade and factory reset your device' is about the all you will get from BV.

I cannot believe there are people still waiting for updates. This model is dead, so is the brand (for me). I already bought a "normal" brand phone (samsung) and I will never ever think about BV. Like Dphilpott81 above I am not going to cell my two BV because there are so bad I am sure I will have issues later with the buyers. Will just throw them in the trash.

i think so.
i have bought a Samsung Galaxy Note several months ago.
it was on Android 8 and now it is on 9 and i receive security update regularly.
i'm very happy with this new phone and never used my poor BV8000 since i have it...

IMHO, that sounds a little bit confusing. There is a very nice ROM, obtained from the new motherboard (so, it is not Russian, it was just available for download on Russian forum). And there is an official OTA upgrade for that ROM. Everything is working perfectly, except fingerprint scanner buzzing for the wrong fingers (it is not critical). So, what is a problem to flash that ROM, then to run OTA and then to be finally happy?

I agree with that

it's supposed to be done by the manufacturer when they claim the product development hasn't stopped yet. community projects aren't supposed to be faster than oem-projects

That is true. I'm wondering, why they haven't posted the official link to the new ROM yet.
