Hi, can someone point me in the direction of a tutorial for downgrading to android 7 please.

its the same proceidure to upgrade by flashing. i´ve done in my phone. my advice is use the 20180124 rom and after that make the OTA actualization.

That's great. I've found the file and download it, but when I come to do the update or downdate if that's a thing it tells me there are no zip files in my folder. I've checked and the download has the file extension .gz any advice? Could I delete the .gz and replace it with zip?

You have to downgrade with flash tool I think.
.gz is a compressed file like .zip, I think that is normal...

OK, I downgraded too today. It is simply unaccepteable that an unfinished version is released and the most severe bugs dont get fixed immediately. waiting for the tech team to solve the minor problems before releasing anything is just stupid. good luck wit android 8. wake me up when it runs stable and has all the nice features from andrid 7 back. that will probably happen when android 10 is released on other devices.

Could we post our phones back to blackview to put android 7 back on? My phone has been semi bricked by Oreo and I'm done waiting for an update that will never come

I can't get the drivers to work, so not an option.
