Recent Apps button bug fixed in Android 8?

In Android 7 I have a software bug of the recent app button, I have to press it two time for open the recent apps tab, I tried to re-map the button, but nothing, it is a software bug, it was fixed in Android 8? I like to know before upgrading, thanks.

On 8.0, to have récent apps, you have to press one time on button

But on latest Android 7 firmwares, for recent apps you have to long press the menu button instead. And on Android 8, we're back at single tap for recents and long tap for menu. This is quite annoying, since Blackview don't appear to settle on either option.

I wish they would stay with the "hold" option from Android 7. I press/touch it sometimes on accident and it immediately kicks me out of my app. Also happens if I don't press long enough. I don't know how the others feel about it, but I'd like the old one back. Or an option so you can choose what you want.
