Re: New Android Oreo firmware found on 4PDA (TESTING)

Wed Feb 13, 2019 9:37 pm

I have absolutely no idea what is happening in the Russian video, or how to download and use whatever software they are using. Is there any English explanation of how to do this anywhere? I do have some computer skills, i very easily flashed a bricked samsung s4 mini and got it working, but this is on another level near impossible.
I've tried and failed to get the checksum generator to work but it insists   flashtoollib.dll is missing when its not.
I cant live with this unstable oreo any longer, with the wifi and bluetooth drop outs, colours inverting, screen going black and battery issues. if there is no stable software or way of downgrading I'm going to have to get a new phone. This one only worked for a few months before i ruined it with an update blackview sold to me based on lies. probably the worst money i've ever spent.

Got checksum working but can't get the drivers working I've done everything both tutorials said with no luck. Time to cut my losses admit to people what an awful mistake buying a blackview was and get a new phone. I think honour 10 and a good case.
Why oh why release a beta rom and instantly kill support?

Uninstall all the drivers and try to install first the drivers like is shown in the PDF tutorial.

I've tried, over and over. Manually and automatically. Disabled digital driver signature. Followed YouTube tutorials. It just won't work.

Install also the universal ADB drivers just to be secure.

Actually it is quite easy and straight-forward using the latest version of SP Flash Tool

1. Download the latest version of the SP Flash tool:

https://spflashtool.com/

2 Uninstall all USB drivers and install the Mediatek VCOM driver:

https://www.techglobex.net/2017/03/download-mediatek-usb-vcom-drivers-for-android.html

3. Download the ROM you want to flash and decompress it in a folder

4. Backup your phone

5. Switch your phone off and DO NOT CONNECT IT TO THE COMPUTER

6. Start the SP Flash tool

7. Click the 'Choose' button next the the 'Scatter-loading file'

8. Choose the text file from the folder where you decompressed the ROM - usually 'MT6757_Android_scatter.txt'

9. Select 'Firmware upgrade' from the dropdown

10. Click the 'Download' button

11. Connect the phone to the computer using original USB cable

12. The flash process should start - the progress ribbon at the bottom of the program window will start to change

13. Wait until you see the 'OK' window.

14. Disconnect your phone from the computer

15. Switch it on - the first boot may take 10-15 minutes sometimes, so be patient

Troubleshooting if the flash process is not initiated after the 'Download' button is pressed and the phone is connected to the computer:

1. Change the cable with original one
2. Change the USB port of the computer - I found that sometimes it is not working with USB 3.0 ports
3. Reset the phone to factory settings.

This procedure has been always working for me - I have several Mediatek Phones - NO1 M2, BV5000, BV6000s and BV8000

Good luck!

I just get error
1 com ports number repetitive or invalid
2 brom and preloader have the same comport number
Does this mean the drivers haven't installed or is there some configuration I have to do? I've followed all the tutorials. But I get the same every time.

So if i go to my device manager go to ports i have mediatek vloader usb vcom (android )(com 5)

If i open it under the general tab the device status is ....

This device cannot start. (Code 10)

The specified request is not a valid operation for the target device

That doesn't seem good, does anyone know a way to fix this or is it time to decare my phone a write off?
I'm using a brand new lenovo yoga 530. nothing installed on the machine other than what it came out the factory with. I don't have access to another P.C

Read the tutorial, uninstall ALL the drivers relatives at any android device and than follow the tutorial, because you have to delete some of this installed drivers.
