Thanks for your tip. I had the same problem, as topic starter does, and I've fixed it now. I've tried your way and found out, that MENU offers to disable that "safe start" , however, the description of that "safe start", which is listed below, is absolutely wrong - it is related to the screen protection, but NOT the start protection (at least on Russian localization). That's why people can not understand what to do.

When you try to change your code PIN a page appear and ask you if you want to protect your phone at start. Click "No" and type your new Password.
The print screens are for French and in disorder.Hope it can help you
