Hi,

I've just become the owner of one of these and I would like to try this upgrade and
I was hoping someone could give me some advice before I try to do it.

When I purchased the phone (Amazon warehouse) the accessories for it were
missing so I have purchased a usb cable from Ebay but I noticed on a number
of posts everyone keeps saying to use the ORIGINAL cable which I obviously don't
have. So, can you use a third party cable or will it cause problems ?

Thank you for any help

Hello,

You need a cable that can support fast charging (allows enough current to pass) and to has long enough USB Type C connector. I tested several before I find this one:

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/10mm-Long-USB-Type-C-Connector-Charging-Cable-For-Blackview-BV8000-BV9000-Pro-Oukitel-Doogee-Umidigi/32866483606.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.76da4c4dqLpL0a
It is working perfectly for me and the fast charging returned after I updated the ROM.

Just managed to upgrade mine successfully and currently testing.

One bug i've seen is Antutu doesn't seem to run (starts OK but then seems to stall)
worked fine on stock 7

Gpay works.

2 times fingerprint sensor stoped work. Reboot helps.

I never get this problem, did you clean cache, dalvik after this rom was installed? That's usually the problem... Really need a good reset after installed ;)
At the first test i didn't do a nice cleaning and problems appears day after day (lost camera, erratic bugs,..) This is confirmed on 4PDA forum...

[color=#212121][size=120][font=arial, sans-serif]Hello
I managed to upload this Russian rom and so far everything is going very well. The backlight of the bottom buttons has returned and the battery is very cool. I did this with the help of the Blackview tutorial software. It was necessary to flash with the volume button pressed. Without a button, my phone could not be detected.
I just hope that this rom does not have a Trojan and that someone will not clean my bank account.
If you have any observations and warnings, let me know.

Hi everybody,

Wow! Yesterday I have received the thirst wireless local upgrade notice for my new ROM (from 4PDA). It is 142 Mb, and says it fix some minor bugs, system optimization  and some GPS problems. Has anyone tried to install it?

I try to flash this ROM using MediaTek SP Flash Tool v5.1728.00, but I keep getting the following error:

Storage type mismatch!
scatter: HW_STORAGE_EMMC
device: HW_STORAGE_NOR
I'm a software developer, see my projects if you're interested.

Hi!
I received this update OTA yesterday and installed it. All works for me. I have a new symbol "VoLTE" nearby the 4G-Symbol. That´s the only difference for me so far, but i haven´t tried all functions.
