Hi,
I installed this new ROM via so flash tool whit out any problem.
Download and extract new ROM , download sp tool I done with version 1804 windows.
Keep I'm mind all USB drivers in my case are done and installed earlier. I done from android 7
Do factory reset before keep phone clean.debugging on, trough development option. Phone off,
So open sp flash tool load scarlet , press download, connect phone to PC holding volume up button till it stars to load new ROM , below yellow line on so tool starts to load then wait till its done. , after its done close sp tool disconnect phone. Do another factory reset , thats it....
Battery improved significant, its hold alot of hours, fast charge works, finger print works, face unlock works, camera improve significant to. Very nice very happy. But only 1 concern , from where this ROM come, who done it, and or it safe to use... I do not know , but phone working very smuth , blothooth everything is like proper android ROM , which BC could deliver official.

Alarm is working perfectly in my case. There is something wrong in your config. By the way, I didn't make a factory reset after flashing, since IMHO it doesn't make any sens after flash-tool work. It does help after downloading auto-upgrades or local update. Battery is just beautiful, it is much better now, than it was on 7.0. Almost everything works better.

Anyone know any way to root and install TWRP, SueprSu and Magisk to this new firmware, which one should I install the biggest or the smaller?
Shortly it will come a novelty that I can not reveal yet, I found some way to improve the Bv8000 pro.

According to the 4PDA, there is NO difference in bigger and smaller versions. I've installed the bigger one and deleted some junky apps - may be that was a reason of the bigger volume. Also, I've seen on that forum discussion regarding rooting and installing magisk, and as far as I remember - they have done it. But I did not pay attention much to these points, since I don't need to root my phone, so, you better read that topic carefully with google translator.

Actually it is quite easy and straight-forward using the latest version of SP Flash Tool

1. Download the latest version of the SP Flash tool:

https://spflashtool.com/

2 Uninstall all USB drivers and install the Mediatek VCOM driver:

https://www.techglobex.net/2017/03/download-mediatek-usb-vcom-drivers-for-android.html

3. Download the ROM you want to flash and decompress it in a folder

4. Backup your phone

5. Switch your phone off and DO NOT CONNECT IT TO THE COMPUTER

6. Start the SP Flash tool

7. Click the 'Choose' button next the the 'Scatter-loading file'

8. Choose the text file from the folder where you decompressed the ROM - usually 'MT6757_Android_scatter.txt'

9. Select 'Firmware upgrade' from the dropdown

10. Click the 'Download' button

11. Connect the phone to the computer using original USB cable

12. The flash process should start - the progress ribbon at the bottom of the program window will start to change

13. Wait until you see the 'OK' window.

14. Disconnect your phone from the computer

15. Switch it on - the first boot may take 10-15 minutes sometimes, so be patient

Troubleshooting if the flash process is not initiated after the 'Download' button is pressed and the phone is connected to the computer:

1. Change the cable with original one
2. Change the USB port of the computer - I found that sometimes it is not working with USB 3.0 ports
3. Reset the phone to factory settings.

This procedure has been always working for me - I have several Mediatek Phones - NO1 M2, BV5000, BV6000s and BV8000

Good luck!

How about the s8? Im out of ideas. It wont let me flash anything but stock. I cant modify the default.prop because unpacking and repacking messes up the key, and leaves me with the message that i basically cant flash anything custom. The rom is protected with verified boot. I cant disable verified boot. And the device has no working fastboot. It has a stock recovery with adb sideload but it is probably also checked by verified boot. So im stuck... pretty hard.

If it can help:
This ROM is installed on my phone, works good, a factory reset after installation must be done, battery has about 10% longer life
I have "rooted" my phone using Magisk-V18.1 (TWRP to flash it). It works perfectly
If you want to had Xposed, install Xposed installer via Magisk modules
To block junk notifications, i use NCleaner
For customization, i use CMlauncher
