Today I have ordered my New Huawei mate 20 Pro with an outdoor case. It does the same with the newest security patches. Good bye blackview

Send a photo of the phone and a small review, I will change my phone soon.
I'm kidding...
I do not understand just Blackview like losing customers and receiving negative feedback!

The first months were really good. But with newer phones they forget the old ones.
And they löst my respect by doing crowdfunding for New phones. They should think about why they loosing costumers. We don't want every 2 Weeks a new phone. We are outdoor users. We travel alot, doing weird stuff and working hard. My phone should work with me. Not reminding me every month that I should get a new one.

I suggest, that the 1.5 year old phone is not so old. Practically, it is just one year old phone. It is not the age to stop updating software, or to do it one time in a half year. Especially taking in a count, that the RELEASED Oreo is FULL OF THE CRITICAL BUGS!!!

And the oreo Release is now a half year old. No Bug has fixed, no Problem was solved.... That's very sad

The only reason I haven't changed my phone is because of all the people that mocked my Chinese brick phone when I had it. I insisted it was a good phone with good specs. I don't want to admit to them they were right and my phone is a garbage peice of junk that can't retain battery, can't hold on to WiFi without consent rebooting, takes forever to charge and keeps waking up with a black screen or inverted colours.
I guess all blackviews new phones must be riddled with bugs and glitches too as they are spending so much time trying to fix there software.
A better brand with a decent case is a wise upgrade. Definitely the way to go.

maybe its time to scrap oreo? could blackview downgrade us all to 7.0 with an ota update? is there anyone who would not prefer to be running a nearly working 7.0 with an outdated security patch to a nearly unusable 8.0?

If you want to downgrade to Android 7, you can flash it. Please follow these links.

Looks a bit complex and a high chance of bricking. Is there no local update method?

You don't downgrade by use the local or recovery method...
Flashing is the only possible way!
I thought that with my firmware the deep sleep problem was fixed, but it isn't...
I will factory reset or flash another version.

Looks like we'll have to wait a bit longer for this working version of Oreo as blackview are now working on a projector mobile phone!? I'm gonna go out there and say this will be a massive flop, and the time would be better spent sorting the problems with existing phones. Who on earth would want a projector phone? Bizarre!? Makes me feel a little better about blackview laughing at the customers who invested there hard earned cash into a bv8000pro that they won't make work now they already have our money. I'll be laughing right back when this won't sell!
