Whats after the Oreo Release?

Tue Sep 11, 2018 4:28 am

We all wanted the New Oreo. And i think we all knowed that it's been very hard in the beginning. But now the release was 2 months ago. You were very good beta testers for blackview. Giving your experience and ideas for the company because they were listening in the past. But now I only see "tracked" post. When get the post solved? Is there coming a second version of it?
I'm running on Android 7 because the need the phone daily for working and my family. I can't risk messages like "sorry I can't get your order because I'm running on a China phone with a new update, there are some bugs fixed in the future"

Please blackview, if you want more customers that buy your new stuff, stay on your old stuff.

I hope this helps and thank you

Hi.
I fully agree with this right honourable member of this forum. Is the Oreo a Bridge too Far for Blackview?

Maybe the best Blackview can do is to launch a pure AOSP update, with no extras, so they don't need to take care of customized code. That would simplify maintenance IMHO.

Or maybe stop release 10 phones a year when it takes a year before software is almost stable.
Or maybe release the source code as another member asked in another post.

The lack of solution is not the problem, the lack of will to apply them is.

Bugs are reported to the tech team as soon as they get tracked here. Fix will come, but it will take some time guys. Please be patient ;)

Blackview, if really needed, should have waited a bit longer before releasing the Oreo firmware. They wanted to please the users who had long waited for it, but released a firmware full of bugs and unfinished stuff.

Now it's a matter of time and patience. They are releasing new products and tech teams must now deal with more devices than before.

Instead of continuously ask customers to be patient, why don't you release the source code ? Some people are willing to help and develop a stable ROM.
Is there any particular reason it's not already done that way ? I'm curious.

That is the problem : more phones to work on, but still big work to do on "old" phones (a 1 year old phone is not old...) and a small team (apparently) which cannot do all the work. Just let the community work on the ROM, there is a sh*t ton of skilled dev on XDA forum just waiting for some source code...

+1 to topic starter. There are to many bugs in the current release of Oreo, and we've done two months of waiting..... And after that, I've got not much of enthusiasm to flash the phone back to 7.0 and restore the factory settings. We are all waiting for the software upgrade. We need it bad. Please, boost up this process. With best regards.

It is now common policy from Blackview to act dead on updates as well as on forum replies.
This says a lot from them: stay away if you are looking for a supportive brand.
