Updates will come, as they did for one year. We care about our phones!

I had it in energy saving mode with wifi off and flight mode on during the night and it still pulled a lot of energy. but at least it seems like it went down to 663 Mhz and sometimes in between even deep sleep. but the drainage was still 5-10 times higher than it was on android 7 when not in use. when in use, its just slightly higher, so i dont care too much about this. There really should be a forced sleep mode that stays on for at least 10-20 minutes and only gets active for 10 seconds to check for news. that would give you a really good battery life. Also ive noticed that in this version, like in the previous android 7, battery gets depleted 3-5 times faster when not in use, if the notification light is on. How about a slow LOWENERGY mode, where the cores dont get faster than 663mhz. if you can toggle it via the pulldown menu, you always get power when you need it but stay slow and efficient every other time. also, i dont need 2,39ghz when the screen is turned off.

I have an update: the fast charging is back for me but with a new cable. 

I've been using only the factory cable I received with the phone up to now. The fast charging was working until I updated to Oreo - I kept using the same cable but the charging went very slow. I bought a new cable from AliExpress:

And the fast charging is back again. I am using the factory charger with the new cable - it is working perfectly. I made three full discharge/charge cycles up to now and it is working as expected. 

The battery drain is still much faster than the previous Android.

I also have that cable and it does not recognize the fast charge in fact it loads me faster using the 5v 2a charger that uses the turbocharger 9v 2a

I've noticed another bug with battery drain: 
Charged the battery up to 100% and turned ON the energy-saving mode. The device was NOT in use for 1.5 hour (in a stand-by). Everything was OFF (wi-fi, GPS, mobile data etc. was OFF), except the 4G mobile voice. Then I took it to make a call and found out, that the battery drained 17% of charge - down to 83%...... for 1.5 hour of stand by. That is something. So, it looks like something goes wrong in power-saving mode, and instead of saving, it is wasting the battery intensively. The same thing happens when I turn the device OFF (wrote about it earlier in this thread). Now I keep the power-saving mode OFF for all cases and do not tern the device off - it works much longer. Waiting for software upgrade........ too much bugs in the current release.

I think most people expected an almost stable release after waiting for so long and this feeling keeps lasting for now.
I wonder actually what percentage of dev-time is still spent on this rom, since Blackview keeps on releasing new phones and I don't think you keep adding programmers for every new product, thus removing them from their current projects, causing longer delays with every release. For all I know even this forum-account is shared with multiple people...

Supremely unprofessional! I'm waiting 2 months for improvements and still nothing. System is not optimized at all. I' m installing back Android 7.0.
