P6000 - Safe mode and rebooting loop issue

Wed Oct 03, 2018 11:29 am

Dear moderators and blackview experts,

I am having an issue with my Blackview P6000 that I would like to share with the community.
Seems that I installed a program or touched the settings in such a way that the phone is continuously rebooting after a few seconds after booting.

I got the phone 1 month ago and I am running with the default stock ROM that came with the phone (I was postponing the update) that is based on Android 7.1.1
In order to solve the issue I wanted to initiate in Safe Mode but I have not found the way to do this yet (In other phones I used to enter in safe mode by long pressing the power off button in the screen until I was getting the prompt window asking for rebooting in Safe Mode but the power off in the screen of the Blackview P6000 is just different)

The phone indicates before restarting: "A running program has requested Android to disable audio effects, so FX Effects will be disabled" and I am assuming this is what is causing the issue.

I hope you could give me some light about:
- Entering in Safe Mode
- Solving this issue without trying a hard reset

Thank you very much in advance for your help
All the best
Carmelo

Hi there!

  1. Press and hold the Power button.
  2. While doing that, tap and hold the Power off entry
  3. When the Reboot to safe mode prompt appears, tap OK.

Your device will then restart and it will be in “Safe mode”  ;)

The menu is different so pressing and holding the power off entry would not work.

I found out how to enter safe mode, here I am sharing:

How to boot in Safe Mode: Power off the phone, then turn on (power button) and press both volume buttons (up and down) while the phone is initiating (there is a first blackview screen, no need to press in that one but in the second one - dynamic blackview logo). Hold the buttons until the phone starts. Safe mode will appear at the bottom left

Also, I just managed to fix the issue by quickly force closing the following system apps:
System ui, audio fx y Bluetooth share
Then I went through many of the system apps and especially those 3 and deleted cache and data.

This worked like a charm. Maybe it is also useful for others

P6000 Safe mode and rebooting loop issue

The safe mode service registry entries work great for XP

But with windows 7 the service starts in safe mode but a window pops up named initiate connection with the fields Host Name and Connection #, both blank.

Any ideas? This is really exciting as Im in the market for a remote support app and if I can figure out this last hurdle this is perfect.

The laptop will not have a chance to hibernate if you pull the battery out, also if its battery runs out in sleep mode, Im sure it also gives that option screen from an incorrect shutdown
