problems after upgrading to android 8.0

Fri Oct 19, 2018 10:38 am

Hello admins,

Recently if received the update on my BV9000 pro to android 8.0
After installing the OTA several issues are occuring to my phone.
Bluetooth audio streaming seems to be not so fluent as before, it's like the bitrate is to high and the receiver hangs every few seconds for a minuscule period (1/10 sec.) to reload the data.
Could it be that another bluetooth protocol is installed???
2) some bancking app's seems to be malfunctioning like bancontact app. itsme from the belgium gouverment also not working anymore. with android 7.1 no problems at all. (security settings?)
3)Fingerprint to unlock the phone is working, but when I try to unlock certain app's I can't configure it to unlock. the switch automaticaly goes back in the off position. dunno why.

please investigate and help.

Kind regards,

Steven.

Hi there!
After each update it is reccommended to perform a factory reset to avoid strange issues.
For the bluetooth issue, you can follow these bv8000 pro instructions:

0) Consider updating your device to the latest firmware and performing a factory reset after that

1) Go to "Settings" -> "Background task clear"  and whitelist all your 3rd party apps wich need bluetooth to transfer data (i.e. samsung gear app, veryfit app and so on..). By doing that, they will be allowed to run in background even if the smartphone is in deep sleep state.

2) Go to "Settings" -> "Battery" -> "3 dots" in the upper right corner -> "Battery optimization" -> select "All apps" from the dropdown menu  and disable battery optimization for every bluetooth service app, as
Bluetooth MIDI service
BT Tool
Bluetooth sharing

and for every app needing to use bluetooth to transmit data, as
Phone
Phone services
Call management
Phone/Messaging storage
- your 3rd party music player
- other telephone dialer apps
- fitness band apps and so on

3) Only if the previous steps doesn't solve your issue, ALSO:
Go to "Settings" -> "Battery" and disable "Standby intelligent power saving"
- Go to "Settings" -> "Duraspeed" and and disable it.

4) Only if, again, the previous steps still don't solve your issue, ALSO go to "Settings" -> "Battery" and set your device into "High performance mode"

Extra hint) Google's high accuracy location setting may cause BT dropouts because it diverts the bluetooth to scan passing cars and tap into their locations, which is why your car BT connection can drop and then reconnect a second later when driving. This is an Android 7 and 8 bug. Only known fix is to go to Settings/Location, tap on three vertical dots at top right, tap on Scanning and turn off wifi and bluetooth scanning.

Banking apps compatibility issues is regarding OREO, not blackview. The banks have to update their apps :)
The same for the fingerprint option.
