A7 Pro Battery Expanded and Potentially Dangerous

I've had my Blackview A7 Pro for a year and a half now, and only a month ago i noticed that the battery was not working as it expected to be. I charged it to 100% then turned it off as i was traveling that day. When i turned it on, it discharged to 50%. When i put it on the charger, the battery indicator went down from 50, to 49, 48, etc. I then turned it off and back on and it went all the way to 19%. After that, i could not charge my phone anymore. It refused to charge. I thought it was a problem with the charging port (Note, that i am using a new cable at the time) and not the battery so i didn't think of that.

I'm now using a replacement phone (A windows phone that i am getting sick of using). I went to my blackview and tried charging it to see if i can give it some life. When i saw it wasnt charging, i went to check on the battery and noticed that it popped out of it's housing and the entire battery has expanded at least half a centimeter thick and is a potentially dangerous item now as it could combust at any minute.

These photos were taking on my windows phone. Sorry for the bad quality but it you look real close, you can see that the battery has deformed and expanded in Size.
Attached are the photos i have taken

I would like everyone who does own this phone to watch out incase their batteries have become like this, or if anyone has experienced this let me know please.

Also i would like Blackview to send me a replacement battery as i do not want to buy one because this is a manufacturing issue and not my own.

Hi there, unfortunately such issue may happen in every phone. It also happened on Iphones. The battery is definitely faulty.

If your phone is still under warranty, you'll have to contact your seller to have it replaced/repaired. He will manage warranty terms, refunds and so on.

If you phone's warranty is expired, you can buy a spare battery and install it by yourself. in this case, you can find a spare battery here:
