podcast player playback stops every few seconds

When I used a Bluboo Maya Max, with Android 6:
podcast app: Podcast Republic
audio device: bluetooth headset MEElectronics Air-Fi Matrix2 AF62
Condition: playback is normal, fine, good
Blackview S8 Build V1.0-20171102:
podcast app: Podcast Republic AND Castbox
audio device: bluetooth headset MEElectronics Air-Fi Matrix2 AF62 AND Blackview earbuds using Blackview USB-C adapter
Condition: playback stops every 10-20 seconds. Half of those times, there is a chime/doorbell sound. The podcast app playback shows paused. I can hit the play button and it will start again. This playback interruption does not happen when I listen to webinars hosted by Peachtree Media. But it does happen with those two podcast apps.

Try to whitelist your app from the background task clear setting.
You have to let it operate without limits.

Well I tried this and it has no effect. I went into Battery Optimization, and changed the Podcast app to "not optmized", and the behavior is the same. Playback changes to Stopped, every 30 seconds or so. Will the new ROM address this?

You have to find another setting, about background use of such app.
Battery optimization can't fix such issue!

There are many discussions about other Android phones with a similar problem. Sometimes it affects Spotify, sometimes other media players.
I have tried every suggestion I can find.
I contacted the developer of the podcast app. I sent him log files. He was unable to pinpoint the issue.
Blackview has not offered any suggestion or assistance, even though it is their product.
