I'm currently on a BV8000 Pro, however I'm considering the BV9500 (non-Pro). But before I decide I'd like to know if the BV9500 still only works with Blackview USB cables, or if now standard USB-C cables can be used.

On the BV8000 Pro, the USB C port is recessed so that normal USB-C cables don't fit mechanically. Which is a pretty strong limitation.

I was hoping that the USB C opening on the BV9500 has been improved so that it's compatible with normal USB C cables.

Anyone knows more about this?

I can confirm that regular aftermarket USB-C cables work. Just tested 2 different brands.

An adapter that can connect a usb-c elongated to usb-c classic is in the box (for the Bv9600pro Bv9700pro so I guess it's the same for the BV9500). This makes it possible to use usb-c cables from other brands.
