20170906-1035 issues

Thu Nov 23, 2017 4:08 pm

Hello guys!

I have a BV8000pro firmware version: v0.1_20170803_20170906-1035 wich is nice but:
1. When I try to update over OTA to _20171011 it says that I am up to date.
2. Tried to update local to _20170829 and _20170822, doesn't work.
3. Tried to connect to pc through usb, doesn't recognize the device -> updated certificate in device manager but keeps failing.
4. Can't flash because of bad connection with pc.

I seem to have some bugs (red->pink photo, battery almost 24h, led on even when disconnected from pc, etc) and want to solve them, to enjoy this beauty :))

PLS HELP :)

As far as I know (I experienced the same when I got my BV8000 Pro) there's really no OTA to update to 20171101 version. You have to install from PC following the instructions you can find on this same forum.

It seems like you need to update the adb usb driver in order to get the phone recognized by the PC. First, which operating system are you using? On recent Windows versions, such as 8 and 10, you need to disable driver verification in order to do so, as Windows will refuse to install drivers not signed by them. You can find a lot of tutorials on Google on how to do that. It involves running Windows in a special debug mode.

Once you have that debug mode enabled, one good way to get the adb drivers installed is by installing PdaNet app from http://pdanet.co/a/ and choosing "other" when it asks for your device brand. The app should install alongside the adb usb drivers.

The red > pink issue on photos will persist, even if you succeed flashing the latest firmware, but it seems to be happening just on the stock camera app. Try Open Camera and see if you like it more.

Local update often fail. Try to fix the PC connection to flash directly.
Try to install the driver for pc connection: https://www.google.com/search?q=MT67xx+USB+VCOM+DRIVERS

Here is the flashing guide with all information: viewtopic.php?f=192&t=319505
