I tried the steps above, but the programs says it misses an INI file for checksum.
i downloaded the CheckSum_Gen.exe, witch does nothing.
How can i bypass it, or make it work?

I tryed to flash using the tutorial, but not succesfull, the phone won't turn on, the proximity red sensor si blinking constantlly. I think is bricked. What can I do to bring it back to life?

Do you know what I can do to fix this error and flash the previous version of 20170822 of the bv8000, because I have 20170829 and is a bugged update, I can't have a decent phone call because of this, details on this thread: viewtopic.php?f=191&t=295844&start=10

I had no issue using SP Flash Tools.

you must download checksum generator tool, extract all the content of the archive inside the folder where the scatter file is located, and execute checksum generator, once you have done this operation everything will work like a charm.
The rom downloaded miss the Checksum.ini that assure the integrity of the download, so SPMD tool don't allow you to continue to the next step.

Might be confusing

Updating and bug fixing sounds very technical and if like me you lack experience, would you recommend taking it in to a repair shop to get the phone updated?
