[SOLVED] ROM Flash error

Thu Jul 27, 2017 5:00 pm

Hello,

I tried to flash the latest update (07/18) with SP Flash Tool. I specified the scatter file and launched the flash.
I got this error :

So I went ahead and had a look at the scatter file, only to find the chip specified was indeed MTK6757D.
I changed it to MTK6757 alone and proceeded to flash again. This time I had this error:

I can't find any information (and what is too large !), as you can see the blank "hint" is not very helpful.
What should I do ? I don't want to do an OTA since I want to remove all Google apps in a future test ROM.

Few remarks :

1/ I am currently flashing the original ROM, not a modified one.
2/ I checked, double checked and triple checked, I did not change anything but the MTK6757D to MTK6757 in the "MT6757_Android_scatter.txt"
3/ BV8000Pro is fully charged, no app installed, no data on it. It is not bricked after error.

Feel free to ask questions, I'd like to make this flash work, this phone is awesome !

I'm having exactly the same problem.

I'm able to flash everything except the "boot" partition (try to uncheck that to see if it helps?)

Any answer from blackview would be appreciated ;-)

Hello,

Thanks for your reply. I had a not so new version (v5.1628) from a probably not official website.
The latest I've managed to find is v5.1728 and I tried it. Funny thing is now, SP Flash Tools finds a MTK6757D and not a MTK6757 :

So I went back on my steps with the mod of the scatter file and tried again: it worked !

Bottom line:

Use the right version of SP Flash Tool
Keep the scatter file as it is !

Thanks for your help :)
