Great! ;)
Remember to perform a factory reset even after flashing!

Hi all,

I have just manually flashed my BV8000Pro as per the instructions with the rom version BV8000Pro_blackview_20180308. Or at least I think I did. The procedure seemed to have worked just fine, and after the SP Multi-port finished successfully and I started the phone I was with a clean installation and everything seemed ok. However when I go on settings > About phone the build number on the bottom reads "BV8000Pro-Blackview-V0.1_20170803" and if I go yo wireless update it reads that the current version BV8000Pro-Blackview-V0.1_20170803_20180307-1950.

Is that correct?

Also, did I have to install all the ROMs since my current version or would only the last version suffice?

I am really sorry if all these questions have already been answered, but I went through a lot of pages and did not find an answer.

Everything you stated is perfect. If you install the latest ROM there is no need to install date-wise upgrades. The Latest Rom always has the best options previously released.
As far as Rom version is concerned , its always described in wireless update section and in your case its already been updated. So everything at your side is perfect

Your firmware version is correct ;)
Updates are incremental: latest version carries all the previous updates ;)

I tried both methods and the transfer never started
Checksum was good
The only issue I had was at first my PC say the phone was a blackview 8000 pro, then it said phone not recognized.
I tried it with the phone off and plugged in and with the volume up button pressed until I got the menu
Any advice to get the transfer to start?

be sure to STRICTLY follow the tutorials posted at the beginning of the topic.
If you can, try also on another PC.
