Glad that you solved your issue, but next time pay more attention to what the admin says! :D

Even though I had used SPMDT before to flash to version 20171227, now I can not because it gives me a message "the selected comports will be reset, are you sure to scan comports?" and when I press SCAN it starts scanning but never stops. Any solution?

I reccomend to unistall everything and start again with the files and tutorials (to be strictly followed!) written in the first post of this topic.
Too many variables.

uninstalled and re-installed everything but still getting the same message

Try to flash with sp flash tool v 5.1708 and tell the result.
