I updated the link in the flashing tutorial to a special software version for bv8000pro. I hope this can solve the checksum issue. Please report if it helps.

Sorry admin, I tryed your SPMultiPortFlashDownloadProject, it just won't detect my bv8000 pro, I used the old one from your tutorial and worked fine (with checksum.ini from generator)

Updating and bug fixing sounds very technical and if like me you lack experience, would you recommend taking it in to a repair shop to get the phone updated?

Yes, If you think you have to flash a firmware and don't want to risk making something wrong please ask a local repair shop for help.

Thanks for your feedback! (I also had issues with the connection in the first tries with that version but with the original cable, a powerfull usb slot and pressing the volume-up-key on the phone it finally worked.) I updated the guide again and included the link to the checksum generator.

I had no issue using SP Flash Tools. All you need is here: https://box1.cz/s/YtqnMv2KoRM0OUi
SPFlash.zip - SP flash only
FlashBV8000Pro.zip - SPFlash + 20170822_Lite (TWRP + alternative rom)
BV8000Pro-V20170829_LiteMOD.zip - ROM only (EDIT: alternative rom to flash over 20170822_Lite no recovery.img included)
MT67xx USB VCOM DRIVERS.rar - drivers
SR1-SuperSU-v2.82-SR1.zip - SuperSU
logo.bin - dark logo

1. connect your USB cable to the PC/Laptop
2. run SP flash tools
3. load files as you can see in the in the SPF.jpg in the link (scatter file is in the used ROM folder)
4. click download button
5. while pressing volume up connect cable to the phone and wait for a few seconds to get loading bar moving

I have successfully flashed ROM but, after OTA, again had to flash TWRP. The Super SU is not updated.Always showing Binary update unsuccessful. Pls help.

The Checksum software is no longer available on the link provided above. Can you point me to the correct Checksum software. If nothing else I need to wipe my phone to send it back to the vendor.

I am having trouble with the screen on my new BV8000 Pro. The screen is jittery and the screen refresh is attempting to bring the banner information at the top of the screen in from the bottom. It gets worse the longer I leave the phone on. Here is a video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WVjc9xZ7_4A I made of the problem. I was hoping that flashing the phone would resolve the problem or at least let me wipe the phone since neither of the "factory reset" options seem to work for me. Once approved, the post of my issue with the factory reset will be here: http://bbs.blackview.hk/viewtopic.php?t=112254
