Hi!
I'm hoping I get a response from somebody.
I have owned my Blackview BV8000pro for about a year & LOVE IT! However earlier this week I've encountered a problem. My phone was at 50% battery so I put it to charge. It was charging for about 15 minutes & I saw the screen come on from a text message. I didn't respond because I was doing some other things. I went back to the phone & pushed the power button to read the text & all I got is a blank screen. I pressed the power button & volume up button & the only thing that happens is a little red light from where the camera is flickers. I've put the phone to charge & the red charging LED comes on & that little red light by the camera still flickers. What the heck happened to my phone? I have the latest updates. I also have a bunch of photos saved on there which I would like to recover. The seller on AliExpress no longer exists. Is there anywhere I could send my phone to get it repaired? I just want to get my over 900 pictures back! I have tried emailing Blackview from the website, but it says "Message failed to send" any help with be beneficial!
Thanks

Hi there, sorry to hear that.
Your charging board may not be working correctly.
You can find a replacement here:
https://m.it.aliexpress.com/wholesale/B ... ging-boardThis should solve your issue.
You can repair your phone by yourself or taking it to the nearest Blackview center:

BV8000 pro not charging issue fixed
My BV8000 pro malfunctioned with skipping/stuttering audio then shut down
I Powered it back on and 2 hours later it happened again
I Powered it back on.. put it on charge and went to bed
In the morning phone would not power on or show any sign of life
Connecting the charger made the red led flicker faintly but did not reach the charging screen animation that I would expect to see
Purchased and installed a new charge board… but this had no effect on my issue.
Removed the battery and wired a 3.1a 5v charger directly to the terminals bypassing whatever the long thing circuit board is on top of the battery. I have a usb voltage meter that showed me that the battery was charging.
After putting 400mah into the battery the battery got hot and the display on the voltage meter burned out THIS WAS PROBABLY DANGEROUSE
After reinserting the battery the phone powered on but hung at the blackview/android splash screen
After a short time… extremely small blue squares could be seen around the blackview text.
I was able to reboot the phone into twrp recovery and I did all kinds of wipes and restores to no avail
But noticed that there was no battery level indicated in twrp recovery so I figured that the long thin circuit on top of the battery may be the issue .
Purchased and installed a battey…
Now when I connect the charger I get the same red led flickering faintly
I do get the charge animation on the screen but it sits at 0% And after a short time… extremely small blue squares could be seen around the battery icon.
So I figure… maybe the malfunction has corrupted some kind of battery monitoring partition?
I tried to reflash the phone with (rom) 20180308_s21v57c2k_jk_fsm (program) SP_MDT_v3.1712
It refused to work
I tried everything.. cables, drivers… etc.
Then I tried a reflash with (rom) 20180308_s21v57c2k_jk_fsm (program) SP_Flash_Tool_exe_Windows_v5.1744.00.000
The flash was successful
The phone booted and presented the android welcome screen
And the phone is now charging
So some or all of these steps seem to have fixed my issue.
I hope this helps some of you guys out

Thanks for the feedback. I've ordered a new charging board & will see if that fixes my problem.
Come to think about it, the weeks leading up to this malfunction, I noticed that I had to move the cord around a couple different ways to get the phone to actually charge. Other than that, there were no issues with my OS or anything. When the phone died, it was charging, The screen lit up & then went black. Since then I haven't been able to do anything with it other than use it as a paper weight.
Since then It's not holding a charge. I've bought a new battery & installed it, but nothing has changed.
I'm in Canada so there seems to be no dealers out here, so if all else fails, I guess I'll have to mail my phone out to be repaired.

While I wasn’t able to boot my phone I managed to get into twrp recovery and was able to retrieve my pictures by mounting usb storage.
If you do end up having to reflash like I did it might wipe your data partition and you could lose your photos.
so try to get into twrp first

Ok good to know, I'll definitely get it installed on the phone if I can get it to that point. I just find it odd that it went from 50% battery life to then dead in a short matter of time. Like we are talking under 20mins. So I'm hoping it's nothing more than the charging board.

So I've installed the new board & sadly nothing has changed. The phone will not boot, the proximity light still flashes when it's on the charger. I've even installed a new battery & still nothing. Any other suggestions?

Now try to reflash it to the latest firmware version.
