[SOLVED] USB C cable does not seat properly / charge does hold

Two weeks out of the box and USB C cable does not seat in charger port firmly. With extended head length needed by BV8000 Pro, cable received in box was only cable that initially worked with device. Now cable does "grab" and will slide out unless positioned correctly.

When a full charge does occur, batter life is less that 5 hours of total life.

I like design, feel and function of device as I'm testing for deployment in an construction environment at a contractor in New York. I am not a tech personally and my IT staff does not service this level of device.

Any suggestions to restore functionality (and where to get extra USB C in America)

1) If your original cable is damaged, you can buy another one here for few dollars:

2) if your USB-C port is damaged, you can replace the whole charging board. Here you can find replacements:

Here is the screenshot.  I am disappointed that the USB-C board broke in less than 1 month.  I am not hobbyist and really don't want to take my phone apart to fix it.  I've have Blackberry, Nokia, Microsoft, and Sony devices without ever having to fix the innards.

I have the same issues with my BV6000. Very loose USB cable for about 4months now and the phone is less than a year old.
New USB cables and they only fit ever so slightly better.
Phone doesn't charge while I'm using it now and after 8hrs charge overnight it only gained 60%
I'm now fighting with Amazon about this and having very little luck. I have all my work contacts on this phone so it's dangerously unreliable for me.
What's the manufacturers warranty?

USB port (and cables) should be carefully managed...  maybe you went a bit hard on them.

Geo3, If you don't want to open the phone by yourself, you can always buy the new charging board and let a phone repair center do the trick.
