[SOLVED] Charging issue with the USB C - Micro USB Adapter

Hi again,
The phone charges well with the power adapter and the original USB-C cable (no issue here).
However in the phone box there is a USB C to Micro USB Adapter I wanted to use. I used this adapter with several micro USB cables I had and with all of them the result is the following:
I plug the phone - the phone indicates it is charging (on the screen and the red LED lights). When I unplug the cable or the adapter the phone continues to indicate it is charging forever. I can fix it if I restart the phone or plug it on the original USB-C cable and disconnect again.
This issue is from day one and the issue stays during all firmware updates I did.
Can anyone reproduce this, or I am the only one with this issue?
Any suggestion how to fix this?

What's your current firmware version?
I used such adapter a lot with my BV8000 Pro, and i never found this issue.

The USBC/Micro adapter should not be used for charging, only data transfer. USB-C cables are balanced to individual phones to control power draw, but micro USB can't handle that. We've had customers nearly cause fires when they use the adapter in a charging situation.

My phone is currently with FW version 20180124.
Like I said I had this issue with all previous versions too (20171227, 20171219, 20171114 and the origianl 20170804 which was on the phone when it came).
I don't think the FW has any impact on this.

Neville:
There is not difference if I use the adapter for charging or data transfer.
If I connect a micro USB cable with the USB C adapter to the phone and there is a PC on the other end the phone again starts charging during the data transfer and then after disconnecting it continues to indicate charging forever.

Yeah, I know the phone will charge regardless, but a computer port won't be chucking out three amps...I think the problem is related to the phone not getting the proper communication on charging ...watch the video for explanation...

The best solution would be buying some spare BV8000 Pro USB-C cables, they are not expensive.

Yes, I know there is always a solution to buy some spare cable and I already did it. I just wanted to use the adapter but I guess it will not work. BTW I have a BV7000 Pro too and its adapter as well as the adapter from BV8000 and the mini USB cables I have here are working perfectly on the BV7000 Pro. The only problem is when connected to the BV8000 Pro. This phone (BV8000 Pro) has so many issues, one more.... who cares.... Let's say all my cables are faulty and mark the thread as solved.

The usb-adapter issue isn't a reproducible or common issue (it may be hardware related), and, in addition to what Neville told, buying another spare cable for 2 euros would be the only reasonable solution. Feel free to open other threads about any other issue you encounter on your device.
