[SOLVED] Broken proximity sensor: where do I buy a replacement?

Good evening,
after a lot of tests, factory resets and tested almost all calibration tips and tricks, I can confirm that my BV8000 Pro has a faulty proximity sensor.
Unfortunately, the seller refuses to take it under warranty, so I'm willing to replace it myself.

I have a lot of experience in phone parts replacement and I already found the part that I need (see photo attachment).

Unfortunately, I can't find any reseller online that sells it, so I'm stuck. Can you please tell me where I can find this replacement part? I'm also willing to buy it from factory directly (if shipping doesn't cost me a kidney :D ).

Thank you

Hi there!

I checked on Aliexpress, but the proximity sensor doesn't seem to be available.

I suggest you to contact your seller or our global agents near your country for such replacement part:

Thanks!

I already asked some global agents, waiting for an answer...
Do you know if the part will ever be available on Aliexpress?
Because various users unfortunately had this problem and usually that is the cheapest option for us.

Thank you

Unfortunately i don't.
But you could also ask the various spare parts sellers on Aliexpress about that ;)

Eu tive problemas com essa peça, e conclui que se tratava do cabo mal conectado... Apenas apertei com força o cabo e o telefone voltou ao normal.

Thank you very much! I studied the problem even more and i came to the conclusion that the Proximity Sensor IS working!

In fact, the sensor works perfectly when the phone is disassembled, opened and the screen is separated from the body. I'm able to calibrate it and it works perfectly.
When i place the screen back in place, ready to reassemble it, the proximity sensor stops working (reading always 255, always covered), so has again the problem.
I also tried to align (just for a test) the sensor with the camera hole (which is completely transparent) and it works like a charm even when the glass is very close.
Moreover, when the phone is assembled and closed, the sensor is PERFECTLY ALIGNED with its hole, so it's everything as it should be

I don't really know anymore what to test for this.

Dear Admin, can you or the technicians provide some advice? Thanks

I suggest to test a new proximity sensor, the actual one may have its flexible connection cable slightly damaged. ;)

Thank you dear, but i think i finally got it. I know why the sensor is not working correctly.

A you can see in the photo, the sensor has a tiny rubber cover over it which is needed for it to work correctly.

Unfortunately, the sensor in the photo is taken from a youtube video. In fact, my sensor DOES NOT HAVE such rubber cover, which leaves the sensor exposed to the inner part of the screen and prevents it from working correctly.
I suppose the rubber cover was lost in the assembly line because it just wasn't there.

Until now, i had no luck in finding a spare proximity sensor nor a rubber cover, but while I'm looking I had an idea.

Dear Admin... can you provide the specifications of the dimensions of the proximity sensor and/or of the rubber cover?

You see, I have some skills in 3D modeling and have a very precise (down to 0.05mm) 3D Printer which can also print in a rubber-ish material... I can make the piece by myself if it is possible to recover the specifications.

Thank you for all your support.
