[SOLVED] Lost access to cellular data

Since last October I'm the happy owner of a BV8000 Pro smartphone.
But, for several days, I lost my access to mobile data.
I still can make and receive calls. I still can send and receive SMS. I still can surf on internet when wifi is running and I'm connected. But I can't when I'm on mobile data. 4G, 3G... makes no difference.
On the upper message bar, the 4G (with small 4G) icon is displayed, which makes me believe the phone is well connected to the network.
Of course, I tried the most obvious switches in the settings (cellular data, data roaming...) I switched to airplane mode and back. I switched off the phone (all night)
I called my provider and they confirmed that they see my phone connectingto the network. They also confirmed that my abonment is OK and I do not have reached my monthly volume.
Together, we have checked the APN settings in my phone, and they are correct.
I plugged my SIM card in the 2nd slot of my BV8000, and it doesn't work any better.
I plugged my SIM card in another smartphone and there it works perfectly fine. On that other smartphone, I can access mobile data. That confirms that there is no problem with the SIM card and with my abonment. The issue is with the smartphone.

The only thing I did, was to remove the Airwatch app. But that shouldn't have had an impact on my ability to log on and work with mobile data. It was certainly not the first time thatI removed apps from the phone.

I search the forums on the web, found that others have met similar issue. (e.g. https://community.giffgaff.com/t5/Help- ... p/20616854) But all the tips they give were already tried without success.

What can I do? Do you have any clue? I believe it is a software issue, probably some cryptic low-level system settings. Can you help me? Is there an app on Google Play that would enable me to find the exact issue, and to access to the system?

Thank you

Hi there!
As your problem only started after unistalling the Airwatch app, this app probably (considering also its nature) made some unexpected changes to your device.
The easiest solution will be a backup off all your data (also using the stock Google backup feature) followed by a factory reset.
It will solve your issue.

Hi,

thank you for reply. I had hoped that you would have given me another solution than factory reset ...a patch to download and execute or a powerful app to modify low-level settings. Too bad.

I will investigate a little bit further for some additional possible solutions, and if I find nothing, I'll do what you suggest.

Note that I tried also to reinstall Airwatch, but that did not restore mobile data.

Nobody can code a patch to fix an unknown and uncommon issue caused by one of the 10000000 apps that can be downloaded from the play store.
It's too bad that we still can't perform miracles

I don't really think that there will be other solutions apart factory resetting your device, really.
It won't take too much btw, just use the google stock backup feature ;)

Well, when I as referring to a patch,I was thinking about an executable that would (factory-)reset all settings related to data, and that would leave untouched all the rest of the smartphone. Idea was that I would not have to reinstall all the apps and re-register myself. :P

Also I have to admit that I don't know the google stock backup feature you are referring to.
Where can I find documentation about that feature?
I searched "google stock backup feature" on Google and do not find it. :?

Just go to Settings -> Backup ;)
Be sure to use a google account and to enable the automaitc app backup.

After a factory reset, in the device initialization google will ask you if you want to load a previous device backup. Just say yes and you are done! :D

There's a glitch in the Blackview software, there's an easy fix though, turn on airplane mode, restart the phone. Then turn off airplane mode and it will reset the sim card connections.

Hello, thank you for your solution. Also May I know what kind of problem you experienced?
