After the OTA update v0.1_20170803_20180105-1104, I can't charge the phone with the USB cable and charger I bought on AliExpress, sold as
original charger for Blackview and actually the charger is exactly the same as the one delivered with the phone.

I use this charger + USB cable since 3 month and he always worked. I charged my BV8000 pro with at 100% before update.

The USB cable delivered with the phone work with this charger.

The USB cable with charger (AliExpress) recharge my tablette without problème.

I do a Wipe data/factory reset, and no change.

This problem is really weird, definitely!
Let me know if i understood properly. After the OTA update:

- Original (= out of the box, delivered with the phone) charger and cable: working
- Aliexpress charger and cable: not working anymore (but working for another tablet?)
- Aliexpress charger + original cable: working

Can you test the last combination wich is original charger with the aliexpress cable?

As bizarre as it is, that's exactly the problem I have.
I just did the test that you asked me, and it's exactly the same thing.
I just tested also with a Samsung charger, and same result.
Original Charger and AliExpress charger are strictly the same.I have the 'Original Blackview' sticker on each charger.

I also have other problems
Applications close by themselves during the standby (Internet speed meter, PowerLine), and it does not start on reset then what to configure to get started at startup of the device. I did not have this problem before.

The GPS logo is not always in the taskbar when activated, but working.

I have not tested everything yet, it took me a long time to reconfigure it after the factory reset.

Can you test another charger with both cables (original and aliexpress) to rule out what the problem is?

I tested today again with different chargers (Samsung, Oukitel and another one of which I do not know the manufacturer's,
as well as my car charger), and the result is always the same.
Only charge my BV8000 Pro with the cable supplied with it, while for my tablet, all the configurations work.
I order two another cables on AliExpress, but shipping is very long for France.

For the apps, the problem seems to be solved.

For GPS logo on taskbar nothing change. Sometime it appears, sometime not.

I have just made the 20180105-1104 update and now battery doesn't charge.

even when it is not powered on

light indicates that phone is plugged into the mains

is it a firmware issue?

I'm having the exact same issue with mine. It's at 20% and declining. It does nothing when I attach the charger (using the MicroUSB-USBC adapter that cam with the phone). I've tried with 3 different cables and chargers. No result.

I have factory reset the phone, it's running 20180105-1104

The phone is brand new, just got it on Jan 5th.

When I get home, I'll try using the original cable that came with the phone, but I'm not hopeful.

plug in charger and its not charging.

switch off device to charge, there is red led but the battery icon and battery percentage did not change.

Try with the charger and cable that cam with the phone, worked for me.
