Hello

Since the Mediatek Helio SoC in this phone is based on ARM Architecture, it is also affected by the Spectre and Meltdown Exploits. When will there be patches for Apps and OS by Blackview?
Regards

We already talked about security patches here:

It will take some time, no additional infos for now.

The problem is, not so important features like facial recognition are added (btw tried it and never got it to work), but core essential stuff (like say, safety patches) take forever to come. That is nor normal nor logical. You may not have more information as to why it is like that, but it should change. Quick.

Hello,

The actual CPU is a ARM Cortex A53, one of the few not affected by the recent security flaws?

You are right, but as i stated in the linked thread above, implementing security patches is not easy as it seems.
Tech team is getting new members, so good implementations will come soon ;)
