[SOLVED] BV8000 Pro - Weak Radio/Signal Strength?

I just received the BV8000 pro - I was approved by Straight Talk for AT&T towers and AT&T approves the phone as well..I have very poor signal strength and cannot make/receive calls - It worked sporadically while in town after obtaining service through Straight Talk (US). * Before I had any service, I connected to the WiFi at home and the phone automatically updated. After obtaining service and while at home (with very weak signal and not able to make/receive calls) I removed the SIM and placed in a Consumer Cellular (AT&T Tower) Samsung J7 and signal was good, indicating some sort of problem with the BV phone/radio. AT&T towers are all I can use where I live - Verizon does not support my IMEI in the US. I suspect the phone's radio is running weak or malfunctioning.. Please help - I love the phone and don't want to buy a phone from ATT&T...But I need a working phone. Thanks

Please perform a factory reset (it should be done after every firmware update!) and report back.

Try to use another sim slot. Then, if you can, test another sim on the bv8000 and report back.

Also download a signal detector app and screenshot the readings for 3G and 4G signal in each sim slot, then repeat the exercise on your Samsung. That way you can see how many dB loss (if any) is involved.

I have the same results with slot 2 as I do with slot 1.
The sim from the Galaxy J7 installed in the BV8000 provides the same results - no service. It works well with the J7 and the sim from the BV8000 works well in the J7.
If I take the BV8000 (with the original sim installed) about 1/2 mile away, I have good service.

J7 with each sim
Blackview with both sims installed and 0db.

Go to Settings, (wireless & networks) More/Mobile Networks ...is data roaming enabled? Does enabling it make a difference? Under Network Operators have you selected the preferred network?

If none of this makes a difference examine your preferred network type and see if forcing the phone to see only 4G or only 3G sheds any light.
