[SOLVED] Radio disconnections

Hello,
I purchased a BV8000Pro just a couple of months ago and I stopped using it because of a frequent disconnection noticed both under wifi and 3/4 G coverage.
The effect were of long waiting for sending messages on whatsapp and long waiting opening status and messages on facebook, for instance.
Usually the turn around solution has been the deactivation of wifi connection during the waiting. Once deactivated, the task were quickly completed.
Recently I've turned on again the device and I've seen that a rom upgrade was available: horray (I said) may be this can let me use my phone again? After upgrading the problems are still the same.

My current version is:
BV800Pro-Blackview-V0.1_20170803 build
4.4.14 root@yz-All-Series #2 Wed Oct 11 09:33:00 CST 2017 Kernel Version
BV800Pro-Blackview-V0.1_20170803_20171011-0929 Firmware Update.
I'm in Italy and I would like to fully use my device, not attaching/detaching continuously to get my connection updates... I'd rather use another device instead.
I hope somebody can help me with this needs.
Thanks and BR
Maurizio

Hi Maurizio!
Perform a factory reset and report back:
viewtopic.php?f=192&t=334922Remember to do a factory reset after every firmware update. It's a recommended practice also for every other brand equipped with an Android OS.

Hello,
I'm reporting back after suggested factory suggested.
The issue is still the same; on WiFi connection I was waiting many seconds for a response (several try with different apps) and, once switched off the WiFi connection the response has been quickly loaded.
Any other advice?
BR
Maurizio

Your problem is not reproducible and definitely not common... but don't warry, we'll do all that we can!
Did you notice navigation hangs also in other apps than whatsapp and facebook?
If your problem exists only on these 2 apps, it looks like that an energy saver feature is creatings some hiccups.
1) Go to settings -> battery -> "..." in the upper right corner -> Battery optimization -> select "all apps" from the drop down menu -> Tap on the whatsapp and facebook app and select "don't optimize". Do this to every app that hangs or have strange problems.
2) Go to settings -> battery. Disable "standby intelligent power saving" (in italian "Risparmio energetico intuitivo")
Report back

Hello,
maybe there is a kind of misunderstanding... The problem is not regarding Facebook or Whatsapp, as they have been mentioned just as an example.
The problem of connectivity in WiFi is not connected with a single app.
For instance, if I switch off WiFi I see many new email that was waiting (visible on PC and not visible on the phone...).
If I play "8 ball pool" the game puts me in waiting because of my connection and starts working when I turn off WiFi connection. So, it doesn't depend on the app; it's only on the wifi connection of my BV8000Pro.
Anyway, I just did as you suggested, disabling the Intelligent Power Saving (that probably isn't so intelligent as it should...).

I will report as soon as I can if this solves the issue or not.
Many thanks for now and best regards.
Maurizio

Hello... my problem with WiFi connection on my BV8000pro is exactly the same as before I had written on this forum.
After having cleared the phone by the Factory Reset and having checked the two settings as suggested, my device still need to work only in 3G/4G connection.
If I use the WiFi connection the risk to be frequently disconnected is unacceptably high.
Is there any OTA update available that give best performances on WiFi?
Thanks
Maurizio

Can you test your device under another WIFI network? For example at work, in another house and so on. I think that your router may get you some problems.

Hello,
I've checked under another wifi coverage. It works the same way.
The connection seems to be sleeping for long time (despite the wifi icon is on).
Every kind of task is processing (browsing, messaging, playing games) using wifi connection, happens very often that the view seems waiting for something (like loading and so on...) and, after having wait 10-15 secs. I see that the task starts immediately if deactivate the wifi connection.
When I've not deactivated the wifi connection the task has been "stopped" undefinitely.
Two days ago I also did the factory reset again, without recovering the set of apps from my Google Backup account, in order to avoid any possible effect of old configurations.
I hope there is some way to investigate, for example by means of some app that analyzes the wifi status, in order to fix this problem.
Best regards
Maurizio

Your problem is more than uncommon, it means that probably is due to an hardware defect.
Can you record a video of the problem so i can check it with more accuracy?

Hello,
I've recorded the video that shows the search unsuccessful in wifi connection and the same search correctly done after deactivating the wifi connection.
The video contains personal informations, so please send me an email address where I can send it.
