[SOLVED] Problems within calls

Fri Dec 01, 2017 10:19 am

Hello,
sorry to mark this but even in my phone calls theres the bug that the callee doesn´t hear me after some time. I tried a lot also with another free telephone app but its still remaining. But there is a difference by holding it on the left or right ear. On the left side i only can end the call and then try again later but on the right side after tapping on the loudspeaker function the call "comes back", the callee can hear me again. If i hold the phone in an 45 percent angle it haven´t happen so often. What can i do? I am on 20171011-0929 with factory reset...

Please try if it helps if your ear don't touch the screen
and try if the proximity sensor is working the same (recognize head and make screen black) while holding the phone on both sides.

Hello Admin,
Thanks for quick answer. Ah I see its a problem with proximity sensor?! Where is it installed at bv8000. Before Testung via calling someone I did clearing calibration the sensor. But I can't do calibration it failed every time. Then I did an Auto Test in *#87#. The maximum is now 155 before it was 49. This ideas I got here from forum. Afterwards tried to ring up someone and it was ok this time but the screen changes fast between light and dark while holding it against ear. If I change the angle bv8000/ear it's getting light if the bv8000 gets closer to ear/ head and then it's opening some apps, the settings etc. Away from head it's dark but only for a short time. Would it be possible in the next update to set the sensor in right way by blackview tech side? I can't do this from my own. Or please could give me a detailed instruction.
Thx

Dear Admin, it would be easier to change the telephone app , so if you come with the ear to the display that it not make some settings.

Is this possible?

I'm starting to think that your device may be faulty, as upgrading to latest firmware and performing a factory reset didn't solve your problem.
Consider contacting your seller to have a replacement under warranty. It will surely solve your issue.

Re: [TRACKED] Critical error - headphone software fault

Hi,
the problem looks like a little bit like my Problem with telephone App. During calls the callee doesn't hear me any more and then I have several solutions to end my call: tapping twice loudspeaker button, headphone B(to get call back; but this works only sometimes) or end and call a second time. In my case I have no headphone icon without headphones insert into phone. But that's the difference to the others here. My callees sometimes hearing a crinkling but then they can hear me only silent. At these time I am in conversations with my seller to exchange the phone via warranty. You told me to do so, Admin, thank you. But they want to have some pics, videos, records of the problem to help me better. Now I am looking for a callee who records our calls to get a proof of this. Could it be only a software problem??? I don't have to send it back!!! I would post the recrded call here too!!! After last update 20171011 in my opinion it increased with the problem. I want to solve it

Hi again, i moved your post to your thread, where it should be.

As i told you previosly, your problem definitely looks like an hardware one, so your only solution is to contact your seller and get a replacement.

Hi admin,
thx for moving..... but I got back to the last firmware and then put the update 20171011 second time on it. After downgrading the bug was not only longer on one side but also on the other side holding phone towards ear. And now it hasn´t changed. Before you jump on someones feets you should ask why the buyer posts at forum. I´m not mad, sorry. And SOLVED is the wrong word for something went bad with phones. You´re playing with my money. I don´t like this. Ask your company to have better look after quality management for assembly.

Never told that you are mad, and i know that a defective hardware is very annoying, but an uncommon hardware fault as yours doesn't have any other other solution than having the device replaced. It can happen, to anyone, to every brand. It's only bad luck. I'm here to solve problems, but your problem cannot be solved in any other way. The replacement will be good, be patient. ;)

Hi Admin,

I also have problems with calls. Similar to what was reported, when I hold the phone to my face, it randomly switches to speaker mode. I then have to move the phone away from my face, and click the loudspeaker off, and then put it against my face again. If the call is long, it can happen multiple times during the call. I downloaded an app called "Proximity Sensor Reset", and this did some calibration, but the problem is still there.

My current ROM version is: BV8000Pro-Blackview-V0.1_20170803_20171011-0929.

I will download the latest ROM, BV8000Pro_blackview_20171114, and try again after that.

Is this a common fault? Is there any fix for this?

I have the phone only a few months now, and to be honest I really like the phone, except for the following bugs/issues:
1. Call randomly switches to speaker - maybe a proximity sensor issue.
2. Phone does not synch with Gmail. I am using Tasker and Synker to achieve this.
3. PTT button is annoying when pressed accidentally - it makes a loud noise. Will be good to disable this - I hope this feature will be released soon.
4. Bluetooth - sometimes drops the audio when listening to music on Plantronics Voyager headset. Music randomly drops for 1 to 2 seconds, and then continues.
5. Bluetooth - will not pair with my Bluetooth smart scale. This works fine with 3 other HTC phones in the house.

If these issues were fixed, it would be an absolutely AMAZING phone for me!
