[SOLVED] BV8000Pro Charging problems after recent wireless software update

I was happy with my new BV8000Pro until I took the wireless software update a few days ago. Now I can more or less watch my battery indicator drop. Then it won't charge to more than 2 percent while the device is switched on. Unfortunately, my job requires a working phone, and now, my BV8000Pro is of little use to me. I'm disappointed, I've owned it one month since new!

What's your current firmware version?
Did you perform a factory reset after updating the firmware?
Do you use the original charger and cable?

I didn't do factory reset.
The original cable wasn't good quality so I replaced it. The replacement cable was fine until the software update. I want to undo the update, how do I do that?

Perform a factory reset.
