[SOLVED] PIN code no longer works

Hi!

My phone has worked well with both PIN and fingerprint since I bought it, a little more than a month ago. However, today something happened, and fingerprint stopped working.
Trying the PIN code instead, it too refuses to cooperate.

When I restart the phone, this happens:
- Booting up
- Blackview logotype and jingle
- "Start Android by entering your pin". Here, I enter my PIN and it passes OK.
- Blackview logotype and jingle plays AGAIN. I don't remember that it use to do it twice earlier.
- "SIM Card is locked, please enter SIM". Here, I enter the SIM card PIN. It passes, OK.
- Finally, it asks me for a THIRD PIN. All these PIN questions use a slightly different numeric keyboard, so it is not the same code request. This time, it refuses to accept my PIN. I have tried several times, using the only PIN I have set up on the phone, and also just trying codes at random, including 0000 and 1111... Nothing seems to be accepted. In the background, I can see the system starting up as it should, with messages appearing, but since I cannot get through PIN lock, I cannot access them.

Is there any default PIN that might have kicked in?
Is it possible to do some kind of reset that clears the phone settings but still keeping my photos and videos?
Have tried fingerprint, but it refuses.

Hi Carl,

The fact that a third PIN is limiting you to access the device will make our road to help you fix this problem quite hard.

Try these solutions: one of them may resolve your issue, or at least let you access properly into your device.

1) Perform a cache partition wipe by entering in the recovery mode.
This will not erase your photos or settings. It will just clear some apps data.

2) Remove your SIM and boot the device without it. It will ask for the phone PIN for two times (this is normal!), then it should grant you the access.

If none of these solution will work, the next step will be a factory reset. I know that will be a strong solution, but we can't flank the pin blocking you from the access.

Sadly, it took too long to get an answer. I waited for a day, then the phone was needed, so I went for the factory reset.
Phone works now, but everything is of course reset...

Do you have any suggestion as to what might have happened? From where could that extra PIN code request come?

Never heard about a similar problem on BV8000's, but i can reccomend to disable the SIM PIN as it, nowdays, is practically useless (and definitely annoying).
