[TRACKED AND ALMOST SOLVED] Bluetooth issues

Thu Nov 23, 2017 10:54 am

Good day, several different BV8000 Pro's have been tested and suffer from bad bluetooth connection (Handsfree calling in car)
- Popping noise
- Drop of connection every 3-5 minutes for about 5 secons
- Device not recognized every time (solution = switch bluetooth connection on phone off/on)

Anyone knows of a fix tom improve bluetooth connection ?
Was this takan care of in any of the firmware upgrades ?

Thanks !

Many BT issues had been fixed in updates. please be sure to run the latest firmware. Sometimes it is needed to perform a factory reset after the update. If there are still BT issues they may be limited to rare and older connected Handsfree devices.

Is there anyone who has no more bluetooth issues with his bv8000 pro? I have latest version Current:
BV8000Pro-Blackview-V0.1_20170803_20171011-0929, factory reset wipe, and still have bluetooth issues, I use plantronics M90, today I will try a different version of plantronics and say if issue persists....

I have the latest update (20171011-0929) and i get the problem with Bluetoothdisconnection. My Headset is the Plantronics Voyager Legend and there i had never problems with the bluetooth connection using other mobiles.

Blackview you should check again.Because now it happens even to me.Some versions before it was no problems at all.

Tried now with plantronics E50, same issues... If listening to multimedia with screen of, every 2 minutes it stutters... But not only the multmedia is the problem, you can't have a decent phone call, it stutters, it disconnects, you have to keep the screen of the phone on to have no problems... I guess is like a battery saving issue or something, but I didn't find any way to switch it off.

Its a problem with the phone software, for sure. My Plantronics works fine with a BV6000, just the BV8000 interrupts after some minutes.

This is due to an aggressive battery policy made by google, as this problem is not only present in blackview smartphones but also in google's ones!

You must disable the battery optimization option for the bluetooth services and for every app that will use bluetooth to transmit data (spotify, music player, and so on...) After that, your bluetooth performance will be perfect.

Thank you for your nice help.

So, here is the bluetooh fix!

Bluetooth (and apps using it) will degrade their playback performance if battery saver option is enabled.

How to?

1) Go to settings -> Battery
2) Tap on the "3 dots" in the upper right corner of the app
3) Tap on "Battery optimization"
4) Select "All apps" from the drop down menu
5) Tap on the desired app and select "Don't optimize"

As i wrote before, you have to disable battery optimization for every bluetooth service (Bluetooth MIDI service, BT Tool, Bluetooth sharing) and for every app that will use bluetooth to transmit data (your music player, Call manager, telephone dialer app and so on). You will find everything in the "All apps" list in the Battery optimization settings.

Example of disabled optimization in attachment.
